WHEN THINGS GROW SLOW
I posted this on Instagram a year ago to encourage myself and other entrepreneurs in the midst of waiting. It does sadden me that I’m still experiencing and feeling all of these things. It’s as if I wrote this today. But I have to listen to the wisdom I offered myself last year and know that I am not failing. SO much growth has happened this year and it’s truly amazing to see where I was only a year ago compared to all I have accomplished now.

When things move much slower than you expected, that does not mean that you are failing.
Steps backward do not mean that you are failing.
Remember, most things take a lot of time to grow and be able to hold themselves up. A little plant takes years to grow into a big, happy, strong plant. And they continue to grow for years to come.
It feels discouraging and confusing during a slow or waiting-filled period of time. Especially when that is taking much longer than expected. Sometimes we do have to admit when it's time to let it go and do something else. But I have to believe that this is not that time for me. Even though it feels like I've been in a "things are just getting started" period for so long, some perspective reminds me that it hasn't been that long, others have been in this situation before and much success came out of it, and good things are to come.🪴
